One night, I was kidnapped by elves.
The time was at half-past twelve.
They leaped through my window and before I could blink,
Stole me away, with a twinkling wink.
Through pastures and meadows and over the stars,
We flew to the doorsteps of cities afar.
In the woodlands by dawn where the carpet is still,
With the fair folk the uppermost branches were filled.
Their laughter was soft, but silver and sweet,
and all I could see were the soles of their feet.
They gasped when they saw me and O! How they stared!
Their fingers were slender; their gaze was aware.
They pulled me into the trees,
with peals of giggles, as cute as you please.
They picked at my hair and sand me such songs,
lullabies mild; for home then I longed.
And for shame, I could never stay.
The elves were capricious and fey.
I ran home in tears,
To discover my fears
had passed, as magic is only a dream.

"Can I take a picture of you to make sure you're not dead?"
lol I wrote it when I was supposed to be doing my math midterm.

To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.
